Bio
Chris Lopez enters his first year as an assistant coach for College of San Mateo.
Lopez is a Fresno native and a graduate of Buchanan High School, where he was part of the baseball team that won a national championship during his time there.
Following high school, Lopez continued his athletic and academic career at Menlo College, where he earned All-Conference honors. He then went on to pursue his master’s degree in Leadership and Coaching at Jessup University, where his team captured a GSAC Championship.
After college, Lopez played one year of professional baseball before transitioning into coaching. He brings a competitive edge, leadership experience, and a strong player development mindset to the CSM coaching staff.
