Bulldogs get No. 23 seed for Northern California Playoffs, travel to No. 10 Lemoore
The College of San Mateo women's basketball team is headed to the postseason for the fifth straight season. On Sunday, the Bulldogs were named the No. 23 seed for the upcoming Northern California Regional Playoffs.
CSM is set to travel to No. 10-seed Lemoore Collegefor a first-round regional playoff game on Wednesday, Feb. 25 at 7 p.m.
Ticket prices for the California Community College Athletic Association (3C2A) postseason game at Golden Eagle Arena in Lemoore are $12 for general admission and $8 for all identified students, faculty, staff, senior citizens age 60 and over, and children under 12 years old.
San Mateo, under head coach Michelle Warner, wrapped up its regular season with a 14-14 overall record and finished third in the Coast Conference North Division at 5-3.
Last year, the Bulldogs advanced to the second round of the playoffs before ultimately ending the season with a loss at San Joaquin Delta.
No. 10 Lemoore closed out the regular season with a 20-8 overall record and finished third in the Central Valley Conference with a 9-3 mark. Lemoore and San Mateo will be meeting for the second time this season. On Nov. 20, the Golden Eagles defeated the Bulldogs by a final score of 87-59 at the San Jose City College tournament.
The winner of Wednesday's match up will move on to a second-round game at No. 7 City College of San Francisco (22-5) on Saturday. Three wins are needed by the Bulldogs to advance to the 3C2A State Championships on March 12-15 at College of the Sequoias in Visalia.
