Hunt, Goldhahn, Bulldogs rack up postseason volleyball awards
Following the close of another impressive regular season for the College of San Mateo women's volleyball season, the Bulldogs were recognized with a total of nine postseason awards.
Leading the way was freshman pin hitter Synia Hunt. Originally out of St. Mary's High School in Stockton, Hunt was named to the All-Northern California regional team. She was also selected the Coast Conference South Division Most Valuable Player as well as to the All-Coast South first-team.
CSM's Katie Goldhahn also picked up a top award as she was named the Coast Conference South Division Coach of the Year after guiding the Bulldogs to their second conference title in four years (2022, 2025).
San Mateo went a perfect 10-0 in the Coast Conference this year and closed out the regular season with a 14-match winning streak to head to the postseason with a 22-5 overall record. The Bulldogs, seeded No. 6 for the Northern California Regional Playoffs, host No. 11 Sacramento City College (23-9) in a second-round match on Tuesday (Nov. 25) at 6 p.m.
