Dorn captures Coast Conference championship as Bulldogs begin postseason push
SALINAS – A fabulous 2025 cross country season continued for College of San Mateo standout Ericka Dorn. The sophomore won her fourth gold medal in five races this season, running 18:16.7 to take first place at the Coast Conference Championships. The event was hosted by Hartnell College and took place at Toro Park in Salinas.
Dorn led a trio of CSM women's runners that all earned All-Coast Conference honors by finishing among the race's top-7. Sophomore Deia Kerseg-Foreman finished in fifth place with her time of 19:07.5 on the three-mile course. Freshman Lina Cruz Parada wrapped up the Bulldogs showing in seventh, clocking in at 19:42.5.
The Bulldog men fielded a complete scoring team at the event and finished in fourth place with a score of 88 points. Leading CSM was Colin Williams in the 16th place with his time of 22:53.4 on the four-mile course. Nathan Loof was right behind him in 17th at 23:06.8.
Mariano Beas (20th place, 23:39.5, Tai Nakagawa (25th, 24:14.4), Cassius Greene (29th, 24:34.5), and Felix Venancio (26:02.7) rounded out CSM's results.
The postseason for Bulldogs continues next Friday (Nov. 7) with the Northern California Regional Championships at Woodward Park in Fresno. Woodward Park will once again also host the 3C2A State Championships on November 22.
